There are 3 direct buses from Guayaquil to Banos those are: Transportes Baños, San Francisco, Flota Pelileo; and there are buses that goes to Ambato (approximately time from Guayaquil to Ambato 5H30 to 6 hours ) by the time you arrive to Ambato is pretty easy to get a bus ride to Banos (it takes 1 hour) there are a lot of buses going to Baños (every 15 minutes)
Getting from Quito to Banos
There are frequent connections from Quito to Baños and vicevers, all of them depart from Quitumbe Terminal station, the best way to get there is by METRO. Departures schedules are quite similar among companies traveling to Banos (every 15 minutes) but during the night from 7PM the buses travel every 30 minutes being the last bus to leave Quito from the terminal at 23h30(heading to Macas; but this come through Baños), The buses that comes direct to Baños from Quito are Transportes Banos, Amazonas, Expreso Banos, and other companies that comes through Banos heading to Puyo or Macas are San Francisco, Flota Pelileo, Latinoamericana, Centinela del Oriente

Getting from Cuencas to Banos
By bus: There are three options, the first one is taking a direct bus called Amazonas all the way to Banos. Otherwise if you miss that bus you can take a bus ride to Ambato in these companies: Sucre Buses, Patria Buses,Tourism Cuenca Buses. It takes about 6-7 hours due to the Andes Mountains. Then from Ambato you can take another bus to Banos (Transportes Banos, Amazonas, Expresso Banos, San Francisco Buses)
If you don’t feel like going through Ambato, you can drop off in Riobamba and from Riobamba take a direct bus to Baños Ecuador. The buses that leaves from Riobamba to Baños are Transportes Riobamba & Transportes Sangay

Getting from Montanita to Banos
By bus: There are three options for getting from Montañita to Baños and vice versa.
Option 1 – Direct bus: Transportes Banos every night
Option 2: take a bus (Manglaralto) from Montañita to Santa Elena every 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Santa Elena you have to wait for the bus company called “Transportes Baños”
There are two departure times at 07h15pm and 10PM.
Option 3 – Montañita – Guayaquil – Baños
If you choose the second option and the best one due to different departure times, you have to take a CLP Bus Company from Montañita to Guayaquil and from, Guayaquil look for buses that travel straight to Baños or Puyo, these buses are “Transportes Baños, San Francisco, Flota Pelileo, Riobamba”
